He also further mention that only a part of the constituents are in favor of the change and it's still early to say that all will be in favor of it.

Congressman Castro likewise said Lacson has no right to blame his associate lawmakers, cautioning the senator that he could lose the regard of the general population who voted in favor of him.

These was the Deputy Speaker's remarks after the Senator smashed the lawmakers who incline toward a joint constituent gathering in altering the 1987 Constitution, regarded that it would damage the principle of checks and balance and added that if all constituent assembly will be having no check and balance, they will be eaten up by congress' votes.

"Kung isang buong constituent assembly yung both houses, wala nang check and balance. Kakainin kami lahat ng boto ng mga kongresista [sa Kamara]," the senator said.

The senator also harshly criticized that that if the congress will push to holdover, they really are "thick-skinned" or "makapal ang mukha"

Laccson added.

Meanwhile it has been said that Senator Lacson will intend the Senate as a different constituent assembly to guarantee that the upper chamber isn't rendered unimportant in changing the Constitution to make ready for the administration's switch to federal system.
