The airline company said that flight 5J 021 is a special charter, free of charge to the government and all the passengers embarked since Cebu Pacific does not travel to Kuwait.

“This is a special charter because Cebu Pacific does not fly to Kuwait,” said the airline.
“This is free of charge to the government and all passengers aboard,” it added.
In addition, there will be another 600 OFWs from Kuwait that are relied to come back to the Philippines on Wednesday.

Brought out by the death of Joanna Demafelis, a domestic helper, whose body was found inside a freezer a year after she was accounted missing, the repatriation of the OFWs from Kuwait was the government's answer to the asserted abuses made by Kuwait's citizens against Filipino laborers.

In the meantime, in his report to Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, Ambassador to Kuwait Renato Villa said the amnesty program was stretched out until April 22 or by an additional two months that is.
The choice however came not as much as seven days after Sec. Cayetano formally passed on the expansion demand to Kuwaiti Ambassador Mousaed Al-Thwaikh in Manila.

Favorably, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported on Wednesday, that Kuwait government conceded the demand of the Philippines to broaden the amnesty program it
was putting forth to outstaying overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Renato Villa also added that the request extending the amnesty, which should end on Thursday, was already signed by Kuwait Interior Minister Sheik Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.
