Political analyst, columnist and De La Salle University professor Antonio Contreras, fires again and wrote a very striking open letter, this time to Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos and the latter's alleged fake college degrees.

Contreras who is very vocal on his decision to endorse and vote for the Ilocos Norte Governor as she runs as Senator for this year's midterm election, took his chance to reach out to her and voiced his assessment to the controversial college degree issue of the latter.

In a recent Facebook post, Prof. Contreras, addressed Ms. Marcos and said that on the off chance that she really does not have that diploma from Princeton University, and University of the Philippines, she might as well admit her mistake and profess it, so as to silent her critics and enemies.

"If indeed it is true that you don't have a diploma from Princeton and UP, the best recourse is for you to admit it and own up to the mistake. This is the only way to deal with those who want to use this against you, and shut them up.", he wrote.

The De La Salle Professor likewise noted that Ms. Marcos might lose few votes if  she will do as such, yet, said that he is definite that the people who believe in her capacity and foresee her great service to the Senate, will remain with her and would dependably give more weight to her strong reputation and capabilities, than that of a college diploma.

"Dear Imee Marcos.

If indeed it is true that you don't have a diploma from Princeton and UP, the best recourse is for you to admit it and own up to the mistake. This is the only way to deal with those who want to use this against you, and shut them up.

You may lose some votes. But I am certain that those who sincerely believe that you have a lot more to offer in the Senate than the possession of a diploma would always give more weight to your solid track record and practical solutions, than to the lie of a diploma, more so if you come out sincerely and admit to it as a mistake. Your anticipated excellent service to the Senate would be the best atonement for such human indiscretion.

Sincerely,

Your voter."
