Popular blog site, Get Real Philippines once again published a very remarkable opinion this time regarding former President Benigno Aquino III and the latter's so-called "arrogance" and "greed".

According to the site's prominent writer, Ms. Ilda Ignacio, one reason why the Philippines remains on a third world country is because of "greed", such word that describes the former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr, before, but not anymore.

"There are a lot of reasons why the Philippines remain a laggard. The country has fallen behind its neighbouring countries that started out the same way – impoverished after suffering the devastating effects of wars. One of the reasons why the Philippines’ status as a Third World country remains unchanged is because of greed. The term “greed” used to be synonymous with the country’s favourite whipping boy – the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. But not anymore.", she wrote.

Ms. Ilda then discussed in her writing, how for the last three decades, most Filipinos would instantly point their fingers at Marcos and his family for the nation's lack of progress and how the people woke up and began to understand that the Marcoses should not be blamed since the family was not in control for the longest time anymore, thus should question what the succeeding Presidents had done about the issues tormenting the country.

The famous blogger likewise give emphasis to the fact that among all the past Presidents that came after Marcos, former President Benigno Simeon Aquino III was the most vocal faultfinder of the Marcoses and habitually alluded to the Marcos years as a dark time in Philippine history without taking in consideration that it was amid Marcos years when real infrastructure, works and offices were built and are still being used today.

"Among all the previous Presidents that came after Marcos, former President Benigno Simeon Aquino III was the most vocal critic of the Marcoses. He frequently referred to the Marcos years as a dark time in Philippine history. Never mind that it was during Marcos years when major infrastructure works and facilities that are still being utilised today throughout the country were constructed.", she exclaimed.

Ms. Ilda stressed that from the start up to the very end of Noynoy Aquino's term, he continued blaming Marcos and his predecessor, former President Gloria Arroyo for every one of the ills in the nation. His strategy was to paint others in an awful light trying to redirect consideration far from his own particular deficits.

But lamentably, as per Ms. Ilda, Aquino's tactic in the end exploded backward that people in general became worn out on him for always accusing past Presidents Marcos and Arroyo particularly, while botching the nation when he was in charge and made his Liberal party endured an enormous misfortune because of his unremitting tirades.

"The point is, from Day One to the very last day of his term, BS Aquino kept blaming Marcos and his predecessor, former President Gloria Arroyo for all the ills in the land. His tactic was to paint others in a bad light in an attempt to divert attention away from his own shortfalls. Unfortunately, this tactic eventually backfired. The public grew tired of him constantly blaming past Presidents Marcos and Arroyo specifically while mismanaging the country when he was at the helm. His party – the Liberal Party – suffered a colossal loss due to his incessant tirades.", Ignacio wrote.

Ms. Ilda thereupon assumed that Noynoy Aquino maybe had a grievance since the Aquinos then need to live in America for a couple of years during Marcos' leadership. But the blogger revealed that there was actually no truth to the story that the Aquino endured tremendously amid their stay in the US, just like what the media kept inseminating to the public's mind before.

"I suppose BS Aquino had an axe to grind since the Aquino family had to live in America for a few years in the 1980s. Mind you, they weren’t exactly living in misery. They actually lived comfortably in Boston, Massachusetts. They lived there after Marcos allowed their father, the late Senator Ninoy Aquino, who was jailed for conspiring with the communist insurgency, to seek medical treatment in the US. But the media allied with the Aquinos made it look like the family suffered immensely during their stay in the US. This was a story they kept propagating to the public even though it was far from the truth. But I digress…", she revealed.

Furthermore, Ms. Ilda forenamed that since Aquino left the presidential office, he too has resigned from political life. He did not even tried to go to President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Addresses since the latter took office.

But the blogger noticed that lately, Noynoy Aquino has been extremely vocal about Duterte's policies especially his strategy on illicit medications and Pres. Duterte's treatment of China's interruption on the South China Sea, that all of a sudden, Aquino became assertive and is standing up against PRRD's policies as though he had completed a ton for the welfare of Filipinos amid his term.

This includes his remark, disproving President Duterte's claim prioritising human lives instead of human rights and said it isn't conceivable to isolate the two.

"BS Aquino is suddenly very opinionated and is speaking out against his successor’s policies as if he had done a lot for the welfare of Filipinos during his term. In a comment, he rebutted Duterte’s claim prioritising human lives instead of human rights and said it is not possible to separate the two. The former President also cited his father’s mantra “if you allow the rights of another person to be violated, you are paving the way for your own rights to be trampled upon", she uttered.

Ms. Ilda then was shocked that Noynoy Aquino is actually questioning Pres Duterte's policies where in fact, as per her, during Aquino's time, human rights and human lives is horrifying. She recounted how extra-judicial killings were widespread amid his term and how his administration's incompetence and arrogance had brought about avoidable deaths since his first day in office.

The blogger recounted the horrible stories of Luneta Hostage emergency and the massacre of SAF 44 commandos, which the former President neglected to indicate empathy for human lives and human rights.

"BS Aquino’s record of championing human rights and human lives is appalling. Extra-judicial killings were rampant during his term and his government’s incompetence and arrogance had resulted in avoidable deaths since Day One. Who can forget the way his buddy Rico Puno bungled the Luneta Hostage crisis when he was Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) undersecretary for police operations in 2010? That resulted in the deaths of eight Chinese tourists. Another one of his buddies, Alan Purisima also bungled a covert operation when he was Chief of the Philippine National Police, in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that resulted in the massacre of 44 Special Action Force commandos. In both of these cases, BS Aquino failed to show compassion for human lives and human rights. Hopefully, the charges against him will finally bring justice to fallen.", she said.

Ms. Ilda additionally pronounced that proofs of the former government’s misguided policies are gradually surfacing now that his past partners are standing up, like Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, who is a known Liberal Party supporter before, is currently demanding that the Philippines lost control over the Scarborough Shoal was because of Aquino's administration.

Now, Cayetano is requesting that Aquino uncover details of discussions amongst China and Senator Antonio Trillanes, who Aquino requested to travel to China sixteen times to arrange the debated islands for his benefit, thus, Ms. Ilda bravely said that assigning a convicted double-crosser with zero involvement in outside undertakings is most likely the tallness of Noynoy Aquino's stupidity.

But obviously the latter is as yet demonstrating arrogance in his reaction to Cayetano's requests that rather than tending to the issue, he remarked about Cayetano's subsiding hairline.

The writer and blogger at that instant also asked for what reason is BS Aquino so vocal recently that the timing is very dubious. She then suspected that it could have something to do with former President and now House Speaker, Gloria Arroyo's return to control, that would unquestionably featured his failure as a leader.

"The real question is, why is BS Aquino so vocal lately? The timing is quite suspect. It could have something to do with former President — and now House Speaker — Gloria Arroyo’s return to power. It definitely highlighted his failure as a leader. Arroyo’s five-year detention was supposed to be BS Aquino’s pièce de résistance in his “fight” against corruption, but since the charges against her were dropped, she was free to make her way back up. Now BS Aquino and his allies can only cry about the supposed “death” of democracy in the country.", she exclaimed.

Ms. Ilda also wrote that somebody should caution Noynoy Aquino to stay quiet since each time he ridicules the people who are in control now it just features the way that he didn't utilize his chance in office prudently and just unmistakably talking from the point of view of someone who did not accomplish anything essential in six years.

She likewise ended her article by saying that a man like Noynoy Aquino who had his chance but destroyed it, should now escape the method of people who actually have solid policies in tending to the issues confronting the country, thus, his opinions are not important anymore since his credibility is already gone.

She stressed that Noynoy and his allies ought to be dismissed from Philippine politics, as well as in humankind since what's apparent are just their greed and arrogance.

"People like BS Aquino who had their chance and ruined it should now get out of the way of people who have concrete policies in addressing the problems facing the nation. They are not relevant anymore since their credibility is gone. They should be banished not just from Philippine politics, but also in society.", Ms. Ilda ended.
