Amid the disputable issue and conflict that is now rising between leftist leader, former Bayan Muna Partylist Rep. Teddy Casiño and several President Duterte supporters, Rigoberto Tiglao, a Filipino diplomat, writer and political analyst, also took his stand regarding the matter, more so with Casiño and the latter's intensifying remarks defending himself from criticisms.

Following the disclosure of Teddy Casiño that allegedly someone he actually do not know, is paying for his two children's education in La Salle, Tiglao, fearless as he is, made his way to further probe the statement of the leftist leader.

Tiglao likewise said that Teddy Casiño should have just shut up, thus, asked for transparency to reveal the truth as to where the his sons' education funds truly came from.

"Teddy Casino disclosed in his Facebook timeline that somebody he didn't identify “is footing the bill” for his two sons’ education in La Salle. He should’ve just shut up:", Bobi Tiglao wrote.

The Filipino diplomat then stated two possible sources of whoever is really "footing the bill" for Teddy Casiño's sons education in De La Salle University.

According to Tiglao, one source would be from someone who is liable to donation taxes, and the other one might be from some tycoon who allegedly had Casiño under contract.

"Teddy Casino disclosed in his Facebook timeline that somebody he didnt identify “is footing the bill” for his two sons’ education in La Salle. He should’ve just shut up:

1. If this didn’t go through La Salle’s scholarship program, he is therefore getting a substantial cash “gift” from someone, which is subject to donation taxes. Is he paying taxes on such gifts?

2. Since he is a ranking member of a political party, Bayan MUna, this raises the issue of whether some tycoon or big bourgoisie has him under “contract”.

I have long heard of rumors of tycoons paying Left leaders regularly as a kind of protection —- that he or his conglomerate will not be subject to NPA harassment or “revolutionary taxes,” or at least is warned if there is a move against him or his conglomerate."
